Full Graphical Back-Lit Display
The MFD-Titan has full graphic capability. For example, it can
replace 7-segment displays and display graphic and text-based error
messages and operating functions.
Setpoint values can be displayed and modified during operation
via the function buttons on the MFD-Titan.
- Fully graphic, back-lit display.
- Optional button lighting.
- 10 language menu-assistance.
- IP65 degree of protection.
- Removable front frame.
If you want to output text, message text or fault messages,
graphics, pictures, operating instructions, date and time, or
acknowledge fault messages, enter values and initiate actions
all these functions are simple to implement with the
MFD-Titan.
Enter the desired functions directly in the EASY-SOFT-PRO
software. And you're ready!
An optional keypad enables control functions to be implemented
or set point values to be entered directly into the device. Two
LEDs on the front of the unit can also be illuminated or flashed to
attract attention or indicate machine status.

Incredibly Quick and Simple Installation

No tools needed! |
Mounting of the MFD simply requires two 22.5mm holes to be
punched in the enclosure door, saving time, tooling and hassle when
installing the device. This twin-hole method also creates an
anti-rotation fixture, ensuring the IP65 rating is maintained.
The logic module and I/O unit simply clip to the rear of the
display unit. By means of a short DIN rail, expansion units or
communication modules, such as Profibus DP, may also be attached
using the standard Easy connection.

![[picture showing MFD with customised inscription]](images/mfd-titan_editor.jpg) Customised Inscription
The function buttons and the display can be inscribed to suit
your requirements using the freely available inscription software.
For example, you could use text and graphics such as your company
logo.
We can then laser etch your multi-function displays with your
individual requirements, so improving the appearance and ease of
use of your equipment.

Simple Control and Visualisation Set-Up
A major advantage of the MFD is the simple configuration.
Easy-Soft-Pro, which supports both the control and visualisation
functions, is more of a drawing tool than a programming device. Six
menu languages are available to guide you with the user friendly
menus in Easy-Soft-Pro.
![[screen-shot of easy-Soft-Pro]](images/easysoftpro_1.jpg) ![[screen-shot of easy-Soft-Pro]](images/easysoftpro_2.jpg)
Control circuits can be copied directly from an electrical diagram
onto the screen using a drag and drop editor select the
contacts and coils and connect them, with just a click of a mouse.
Naturally all of the function blocks of the Easy800 control relay,
including PID controllers, are at your disposal. Once completed,
control schemes may be tested off the machine using the in-built
simulation software. This enables the functionality of the machine
to be proven before completion, reducing overall production and
machine commissioning times.
Configuration of the display is similarly very straightforward.
The editing tool offers the user a blank sheet,
corresponding to the size of the display window. Objects can then
be simply placed onto the screen where required and their function
configured by filling in simple drop down boxes.

Expansion and Networking
The expandable power supply and CPU devices of the MFD-Titan series
enable central and decentralized input/output expansion. Simply fit the
I/O expansions of the 'easy' control relay directly to the basic unit.
Now all you need to do is to connect the devices with the easy-Link interface.
As an alternative, you can also use the EASY200-EASY coupling module and a simple
two-wire cable to a maximum length of 30m MFD with integral easy-NET.
![[picture of MFD with integral easy-NET]](images/mfd_networked.jpg)
The MFD-Titan® multi-function display can be integrated with ease
into the easy-NET network. Generally, all devices with an easy-NET connection, the MFD-Titan® or easy800 can immediately communicate with one another. For example, the MFD-Titan® indicates the operating states and the easy800 controls and regulates.
Additionally, the MFD-Titan® offers the opportunity of connecting two devices via the serial interface using a simple point-to-point connection: This could be communication with another MFD-Titan® or an easy800.
![[picture of MFD-Titan/CP8/TA17/204DP]](images/mfd-cp8-ta17-204dp.jpg) Simple to connect to other bus systems
Do you want to connect the MFD-Titan® to an AS-Interface network or to a PROFIBUS DP? It couldn't be easier! Fit the respective module beside the MFD-Titan® and then simply connect the devices via the easy-Link interface. Ready!
(Note: Further bus systems are in preparation.)
