New Miniature Enclosure Additions Provide Even More Customer Choice

CI-K range now available with ‘flush’ seals and ‘solid’ sides

Moeller Electric has added a number of new options to its highly successful CI-K range of miniature enclosures effectively making it the most comprehensive range of enclosures of this type available on the market.

The robust CI-K enclosures are suitable for housing a wide range of protection and control devices such as miniature circuit breakers, contactors, control relays and rotary and pushbutton switches.

The full CI-K range comprises five sizes and two heights. The smallest two sizes are available with either hard or soft metric knockouts, both rated IP65. The CI-K1, measures 120 x 80 x 95mm and is suitable for cable up to 12mm in diameter; and the CI-K2, is designed for cable up to 16mm diameter and measures 160 x 100mm with a choice of 100 and 145mm heights.

CI-K enclosures are made from halogen-free, glass-fibre reinforced self-extinguishing polycarbonate that provides a high level of robustness and superb chemical resistance. Total insulation ensures optimum protection for the user and sealed lugs can be used to protect the unit against unauthorised opening.

A novel design feature is the inclusion of moulded eyelets on the top of the base and cover of the enclosure. Passing tie wraps through these eyelets effectively forms a temporary hinge for the cover allowing maintenance engineers access to the contents of the enclosure while keeping the cover firmly attached to the base.

All CI-K enclosures are supplied complete with a choice of mounting rail or mounting plate. Rubber mounting pads on the rear of the unit stop it slipping making it easier to mount on a wall.

The units are ideal for housing a wide range of Moeller products including: RMQ16 and Titan command and signalling components, DIL E miniature contactors, DIL EM reversing contactors, FAZ miniature circuit breakers, Easy control relays, EMT6 thermistor overload relays, ETR4 timing relays, PKZ 2 motor-protective circuit breakers and ZEV motor-protective relays.
