Moeller Gives Installers More Board Room!

[picture of MCB distribution boards] An exceptionally compact pan assembly, which provides positive location for all outgoing MCBs and RCBOs, means that Moeller Electric's new range of A- and B-type MCB distribution boards provide a generous amount of room for internal wiring, making them fast and easy to install.

The new boards, which have an IP40 ingress protection rating, also offer outstanding versatility, with fully reversible doors, a glazed door option, and interchangeable top and bottom gland plates, one of which is plain, the other with convenient, ready-to-use knockouts. The pan assembly is also readily removable, as an aid to the fast, easy fitting of outgoing devices.

Intended for single-phase applications, A-type boards have busbars rated at 125A, and are available with up to 19 outgoing ways. For three-phase applications, Moeller offers B-type boards with 250A busbars, and up to 24 outgoing ways. Easily accessible neutral and earth bars are provided in all models, together with a neutral disconnect facility.

Also featured is a multifunction terminal area which allows direct connection of incoming supplies, or which can alternatively accommodate a wide range of incoming devices. To ensure maximum wiring convenience, all of the terminals used in the boards are compatible with a single size of screwdriver.

Safety is central to the design of Moeller's new MCB distribution boards, and all types feature single-piece busbars to eliminate hotspots. Colour-coded toggles on the outgoing MCBs and RCBOs clearly indicate the current ratings, and switches are provided with red/green indicators which instantly show whether they are on or off.
