Press ReleaseFor Simpler Drive Control You Have to Hand It to Optiwand
The Optiwand is a handheld remote control unit, which through innovative infrared technology places Optidrive's five button control panel right in the palm of your hand. Using Optiwand there is no need to individually physically program every drive in a line-up, and check each drive's settings. Instead, one programme is quickly and easily set-up on the Optiwand and then transferred to the drives instantaneously, by infrared, wire-free link. All parameters can be edited off-line, copied and transferred, making it possible to set-up multiple drives with one program. This greatly simplifies changing the drive settings once the drive is in situ, given that drives can often be located in cramped not easily accessible places. Even for programming a single drive, the Optiwand can cut set-up time to just 0.5 seconds. Then once set-up, drive functions can be monitored in real time, efficiently and effortlessly. Storing up to 63 complete parameter sets, the Optiwand can also be connected to a PC, for up- or downloading of data. Downloaded data can then be transmitted worldwide by email for fault detection if required. The Optiwand features a large back-lit LCD display, a battery life of up to 2 years and supports up to 12 international languages including French, German and Italian. Spanning a 0.37kW to 160kW power range, Optidrive is available in both single and three-phase formats in five case sizes, providing users with the highest levels of performance and flexibility at market competitive prices. Ready-to-run, the new drives have three programmable digital inputs, an analogue input that is selectable for volts or amps, a programmable relay output, and a programmable analogue output. All that is needed for basic pump and fan operation is the setting of five basic parameters from the 14 standard that are available. An extended menu of a further 26 additional parameters is available for more advanced set-ups. Optidrive has four pre-set speeds and an auto start function. Other features include skip frequencies, silent running in 32kHz mode and mains dip ride through.
