Press ReleaseUK Manufactured Switchboard Delivers Easy Configuration, Short Lead Times & Cost Savings
The PCC Distribution's modular design, together with its local manufacture, enables easy configuration and short delivery times. The combination of high stacking density and the option of rear cable access ensure that the PCC Distribution Board provides a cost effective and space efficient solution, complementing Moeller's MODAN 6000 switchboard. The PCC Distribution is suitable for power ratings between 800A and 3200A, with the main hard drawn high conductivity copper busbars within the switchboard offering safe operation under fault conditions up to 65kA for one second/50kA for three seconds. The busbars come with a fully rated neutral, with the option of a double neutral for 3200A, making them suitable for IT installations and locations with high harmonic system levels. Flexibility of the switchboard is ensured through a wide range of busbar ratings and a comprehensive choice of components that can be accommodated within its standard range of cubicles. Incomers and outgoers include air circuit breakers (fixed or withdrawable up to 3200A 4 pole), moulded case circuit breakers (fixed or pluggable up to 1600A) and BS88 or DIN fuse switches up to 800A. In a 600mm wide enclosure column, the stacking density configurations are 16 x 160A, 16 x 63A and 24 x 40A. Dimensions are 2320mm (1945mm for the reduced height option) with a depth of 680mm for units up to a 3200A. Cable entry/exit is via the top and bottom. Added flexibility is provided by power factor correction up to 300kVAR and Moeller's vast line-up of control and intelligent instruments and circuit protection equipment, such as restricted earth fault and earth fault and surge protection, gives further options. The power distribution board complies with IEC/EN 60439 BS EN 60439-1 IEC 439-1 and provides separation up to Form 4, Type 2, 5, 6 and 7. In degrees of protection it achieves standards IP31 to BS EN 60529 for external requirements and IP2X/IPXXB to BS EN 60529 for internal. Operating temperature is from -5 to 40°C.
