Free Starter Selection Tool

[picture of DILM units] Free from Moeller is its new easy-to-use Starter Selection Tool. Based on the company's xStart motor control gear the tool will enable electrical designers, plant engineers, electrical contractors and wholesalers to quickly resolve motor starter applications. The slide selector covers direct-on-line, reversing and star delta starters for both Type 1 and Type 2 co-ordination.

By simply selecting the AC-3 motor rating at 400V/50Hz by kW or current, users are presented with a comprehensive list of parts necessary to satisfy the application. The user is given two solutions, one with BS88 fuses and DILM contactor plus Z thermal overload relay and the other with DILM contactor and PKZM/NZM motor-protective circuit breaker.

In addition to the components required the slide selector also offers information on cable sizes, the maximum cable length to the motor and the short circuit current. The slide selector is compact and simple to navigate and will fit in an engineers toolbox or designer's drawer ready for use whenever needed.
