Moeller’s Emergency Stop Pushbuttons with an Added Twist

[picture of Titan Twist-to-Release Emergency Stop switch]Moeller Electric has added two twist-to-release emergency-stop actuators to its RMQ-Titan range of control circuit devices.

In common with the rest of the range the twist-to-release e-stops combine a quality rugged construction and high resistance to ingress, with an attractive design, making them ideal for a host of applications.

As with the other RMQ-Titan emergency-stop actuators, pull-to-release and key operated, the two new devices are rated to IP67, 69K and are available with or without illumination. In the illuminated versions an integral LED is permanently lit or lights up when actuated, according to requirements, making this safety component easily visible even in darkened rooms, saving the necessity of fitting a separate indicator light.

Moeller’s emergency-stop pushbuttons are all tamper proof in compliance with ISO 13 850/EN 418. In other words, the opening of the safety circuit will always cause the annunciation circuit to close and the actuator to stay-put.

Fitting into a standard 22mm mounting hole, there are three mounting forms available: flush and rear mounting for control panels and switchboards, and in a surface mounting enclosure to provide an e-stop station.

Accessories available include emergency-stop labels in various languages and a protective collar, which is aimed at those applications where the e-stop needs to be protected against accidental actuation.

Moeller also offers FAK foot and palm switches with large operating surfaces which can be actuated with the flat of the hand, the closed fist, wearing gloves, with the elbow or foot. In other words, they allow the operator to react quickly. The FAK is a very robust component, complete with IP67, 69K protection, and is designed for use in the most demanding environments.

Moeller Electric is committed to the protection of personnel and processes. Its emergency-stop devices are part of the company’s wider safety offering which includes ESR safety relays, T rotary switches, P switch-disconnectors and SL signal towers.
