XI/ON Remote Intellegent I/O System

Flexibility
is standard with the XI/ON system. Designed to replace control terminals directly
with network-connected PLC I/O, XI/ON reduces panel wiring and complexity, as well as
reducing panel design and build times.
'Slice' I/O modules ensure maximum flexibility by allowing the station to be configured with exactly the number and type of i/o required for the application.
Hot-swap capability also ensures minimum down time, by enabling faults to be cleared very quickly.
A choice of network, between Profibus, DeviceNet and CanOpen ensures compatibility with the majority of PLC manufacturers products.
Other features include:
- Secure interconnection of the base modules ensuring maximum reliability.
- Module/Base coding, ensuring that only the correct module can replace an existing one.
- Wiring diagram printed on the I/O slice.
- Wide choice of signal modules.
- Channel marking strips allowing I/O function to be designated to the terminal in English.
- Programmable gateway available allowing remote pre-processing to be performed at the i/o station, reducing the program overhead at the main plc and ensuring some redundant control facilities.
- I/O Assistant design software allows loop checking and testing before connection or commissioning of the PLC system. Software also designs, checks and documents the configuration before ordering.
